With over 12 years of experience in HR, front-line response, and adult care, I understand the challenges individuals face and the importance of compassionate, individualised support. I hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care and am completing a master’s in Senior Leadership to further drive meaningful change. Wellbeing—both for those receiving care and those delivering it—is central. I believe in fostering a culture where all people feel valued and supported.
Outside of work, I love books, exploring the outdoors, and caring for my animals, including a cow and a pony. Most importantly, I am a parent, which gives me perspective and purpose in all I do.

Marketing Coordinator

With a background in the events industry, I honed my creativity, organisation, and communication skills while producing and managing large corporate events, including conferences and awards. My passion for storytelling led me into PR and marketing, where I thrive on the challenge of bringing brands to life through compelling content.
I’m lucky to live in a picturesque area of Kent, so an ideal weekend includes a family walk followed by a visit to a great pub. When I get a bit of time to myself, I enjoy pottering in the garden, having my head in a book or getting creative with beautiful fabrics.

For Twenty Four years I worked in the NHS as an Occupational Therapist, in both Physical and Mental Health situations, the last eight years I worked with individuals, who had a diagnosis of Dementia, and their families. I ran groups providing information, ideas and activities to stimulate their cognitive function, enabling them to live well with Dementia.
I enjoy many craft activities and am always ready to learn new skills, I also enjoy gardening and walking my dog.

A love of writing has shaped my life since primary school days - I sold my first story to my teacher, when I was six! I've written editorial materials and arts reviews, fiction, poetry, screen and stage plays. The only thing I love as much as writing is sharing the passion with others - and that's what led me to run writing groups with people with dementia in 2014. Beside writing, I love reading, going to the cinema, baking and experimenting with soup making. I am a charity shop addict with a terrible weakness for colourful china!

I have a career history in customer care and service within both private and public sectors engaging with many people from a diverse walk of life, seeking to find solutions to meet their needs and expectations. I see the care environment as a place where I can share my time and natural ability to support and encourage those who’s wellness can directly benefit from it. I actively enjoy and seek to maintain a fit spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing. Living on the Kent coast my happy place is being at the beach and sea swimming. Being at one with nature brings me a sense of peace, revitalisation and grounding.

I started off working as a scientist working in research in Virology in London and when I found that unfulfilling, I had a total career change and moved into social care in residential care for people with learning disabilities. I then qualified as a social worker and worked for KCC for 28 years in various different teams within social care for people living with disabilities and older people. I hoped that in these many positions in community and hospital teams that I was making a difference for people and supporting their families. When not working I may be found cycling with a local club, socialising with friends or going for local walks. I enjoy watching live music and listening to my CDs.
